Papers and Pixels Challenge - Digi LO

Today is the day!

If you don't know, I've gotten involved with a brand new online crafting magazine, Papers and Pixels.  Well, after a long two weeks wait (since I started with them) the first edition is available today.  Woohoo!!!!!

The zine is FULL of great crafting info, interviews, product reviews ---AND--- we host a monthly challenge.  This month it's a sketch - but don't get too comfortable with that format -- because you never know what it's going to be next.

So, a sketch.  You can do a card, quilt, scrapbook page, decorate a package, a t-shirt, a purse -- whatever you want to do with the sketch.  We want to see it ALL!!!

I'll be doing a couple other things with this sketch in the coming days, but for now.. here's my digital scrapbook page.

It's done with a kit called Calypso by Tandika Star.  I got this freebie kit a long long time ago and can't find it available anywhere now.  Sorry!  I supplemented the kit with additional papers and things that I created.

The font on the title is called 28 Days Later*.  You can see what it looks like without style effects in the "2005".  I gave it a big stroke, did a stroke emboss and an inner glow with a color from the background paper. The journaling is done in Pea Devon.  I just love Fonts for Peas*.

Be sure to upload your version to the Papers and Pixels gallery!

* I am in no way affiliated these font sites.  I can not be responsible for anything that may happen to your computer related to downloading content from the Internet.  Legal mambo jumbo out of the way --- these are the sites I get my fonts from.  Nothing bad has ever happened to me *knock on wood* from using their sites and I'm ever so thrilled with them.  I can only hope that you have the same luck if you decide to use their yummy fonts.
