Closed size is 6.5" x 5" (16.5 cm x 12.7 cm) -- fits easily into a purse or backpack.
Doesn't this one just pop out and say "Hello!" This rayon fabric was in my stash from my daughter's (who this line of books is named for) Bumble Bee (the robot) phase. It's soft and silky in the hand and so easy to find in your bag! I quilted it over reclaimed cotton fabric, like my Grandmother used to do, then bound the edges with hand made bias binding.
There are pockets inside for two pens, or several pencils or even markers. The book is held securely in place with a pocket on the left and a strap on the right. I am including a 200 page, four subject book. It is lined and wire bound so that it lays flat when you are taking notes, making lists, jotting down phone numbers, or journaling to go with those great photos you just took.
It closes with a fun black button and a loop of elastic. The tab on the end is ready for you to hang your favorite charm. (mine has a rhinestone star - it's too cute) Oh and as you can see, I'm demonstrating how easy it is to tuck your business cards into the book pocket!
