Soul Scrappers Challenge THC19

Mike-and-Morgan-Sibs-Disney-2004
Do you do things at the last moment?  No, I’m not talking about putting off filling the gas tank till it’s on fumes or waiting to do the laundry until it’s bed time.  What?  Yes, I totally do both of these things…. ALL the time.  Seriously.  I must thrive under pressure because I’m all about creating those situations for myself.  Work, no problem – boom – done.  It’s my personal life where I tend to put things off.  Anyway, that’s stilllll not what I’m talking about.

I’m a spur of the moment gal and so is Bob (well he's not a gal, but you know what I mean).  We were out to dinner one night in October, 2004. I said I’d like to do something fun the next week for Joey’s Birthday. So we got online and bought a family package deal and packed up to leave the next day.  Yes, the NEXT DAY!  *nodding*  We loaded up our four remaining kids (one had grown up and moved out)  into the van in the dark.  Before the sun came up, Phoenix wasn’t even in the rear view mirror anymore.  We had a blast – even Random Mike, the teenager!

Yeah, we still do stuff like that, just not on such a grand scale.

For this challenge, we needed to use the phrase “Siblings are friends given by Nature”, some ribbon and a border punch.

The image is from a disposable camera.  Remember those?  What a horrible thing for the environment.  I’ll never do that again!  Ever!  Anyway – it’s grainy and the color is bad.  I did a really cool vintage look on it, but it just didn’t pop from the page enough so black and white it was.

Paper – my own digital creations
Ribbon – had these forever, there’s no tou with ‘em but they say Deb_F_Friends in the title.
Shape – (journaling tag) created with default Custom Shapes
Sticker – had these to go on the sb pages
Fonts – Pea Sandra Dee and Pea Leslie’s Happy Font

  1. I love the little pops of color, but I love the sibling journaling most! How lucky Morgan is to have such a great big brother (and I'm sure he's just as lucky!)

  2. It's so dark and bright at the same time. That background color is so pretty. The journaling is very sweet and I can't believe you hopped in the car to go to Disney from PHOENIX on the spur of the moment! LOL What a riot.
