Art Journal Prompt:  New

How I created my page:

I got this new art bag over the weekend; it’s canvas with leather accents.  Bob likes to get us gifts on his birthday… isn’t he the best?

First step – Sketch. I drew out my bag in pencil

Second step – Color.  I used neocolor like watercolor and washed it on the sketch in green and brown

Third step – Outline.  I used a ball point pen to do the outline and it wanted to stop a couple of times because the paper wasn’t dry yet.  Still it got the job done.

 

Supplies Used Today:

• waterbrush 
• neocolor II water-soluble crayons

Would you LOOK at that supply list?  LOL I can see why people like to do watercolor sketching so much.  LOL  Still though, my bag holds everything my pink bag was holding.  I love that.  Plus it has a long strap to go over my shoulder.  Sweet.

Supplies to gather:  Watercolor and watercolor paper.  That’s it.  I don’t know if it will work with acrylic washes yet, but I’ll let you know after I’ve tested that.
