After posting the painting on friday, Lizzie and I were joking about the fire representing the pain I went through. It was a good idea. So this one is a direct representation of the pain so many of us experience. The pic is from my phone, so the colors are a little off.
There are five layers for the background - gel medium, colors and glazes. Then several more in the foreground. When I was working with the final dark brown, my hands started shaking badly. So I worked the mess they made into the painting.
Tee

this is beautiful and powerful Tee. I know about pain very well and this gives me the idea to paint my pain. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Stephanie. This is so representative of the roots of pain, the burning heat, it is just so good !!! I'm so glad you are back at it.

ReplyDeleteI painted over this ugly thing and don't like that painting either. So it's gesso for that guy one of these days!
