Finished a painting today.. woohoo. I used parts that you may have seen before. The mixed media face and a canvas that I stared before I got sick last summer. Here's what it looked like...
I think Liz Rosky was the only one I shared it with way back when. We determined that the big blue cloud thing looked like a baby in the womb. LOL So it's been put away till the move. I hung it in the studio so I had to look at it and decide what to do with it.
Well yesterday I started messing with it... a little grunging, a little dripping and a whole lot of collaging.. and here we go.

I added a few more shades of color to the face to make her work with this background.
She was a bit too green.

Why yes.. her hair is individually cut and painted strips of book pages.
Metallic ink dripping over the girl.. it glows and shimmers.
I love this....it feels so organic, and the book pages dripping knowledge...awesome ! :D XXX
